How to Repair Your Armor in WoW
Jump to: Find a Repair NPC | Interact with the Repair NPC | FAQs
As you journey and fight throughout Azeroth, you will naturally need to repair your armor.
Step 1: Find a Repair NPC
1. Locate the nearest town or city. When in doubt, run to an area with a flight master icon on it or use your Hearthstone.

2. Travel through the town or city until you see an anvil icon on your minimap. Move your character to one of these icons.

3. Mouse over the nearby NPCs until your cursor becomes an anvil.
4. Right-click the NPC.

Step 2: Interact with the Repair NPC
Once you’ve found a repair NPC, you can start repairing your gear.
To repair all of your items, click the anvil button.

FAQs
How Do I Know When I Should Repair My Gear?
When an armor graphic appears in the top-right corner of your interface, at least one of your items is broken (or relatively close to being broken).

As soon as this graphic appears, you should repair your armor.
What is Durability?
Think of Durability as “health points” for your gear.
As you deal damage with a weapon, take damage, die, or receive Resurrection Sickness, your gear will gradually lose Durability.
When an item’s Durability reaches 0, it will no longer provide any combat-related benefits to your character.

Who Can Repair My Gear?
- Almost every NPC that sells weapons and armor can repair your gear.
- Players cannot repair your gear (even those with the Blacksmithing profession).
