Leaving a Dungeon Finder Dungeon
If you leave your Dungeon Finder group, you will instantly be teleported out of the dungeon.
If you want to leave the dungeon but stay in your group, you can:
1. Right-click the green eye icon to the left of your minimap.
2. Click the “Teleport Out Of Dungeon” option.
Leaving Other Dungeons
If your dungeon wasn’t set up using the Dungeon Finder tool, you won’t be able to click the green eye icon and leave that way.
However, you still have a few options.
- Leave the group.
- Use a teleportation item, toy, or ability.
- Ask a Mage in your party for a portal.
- Log out of that character.
- Run through the dungeon’s entrance or exit portal.
Leave the Group
If you leave your group while in a non-Dungeon Finder dungeon, you will automatically be teleported to the nearest graveyard in about 60 seconds.
Teleportation Items, Toys, and Abilities
- If your Hearthstone is off cooldown, you can use that.
- If you’re a Mage, you can use one of your Teleport or Portal spells.
- If you’re an Engineer, you can use a Wormhole Generator.
Ask a Mage for Help
On a similar note, if you have a Mage level 24 or above in your group, they can teleport you to a variety of places — just make sure you ask them before they leave.
Log Out
If you log out of your character, wait 30 minutes, and log back in, you will be taken to the dungeon’s entrance.
Use the Dungeon’s Entrance or Exit Portals
Blizzard designed some dungeons (Deadmines, etc.) to have an exit portal at the end to make players’ lives a bit easier.
However, the vast majority of the newer dungeons do not have such a portal.
Fortunately, you can always leave a dungeon by retracing your steps and running through the entrance portal.
