How to Remove the Drunk Effect in WoW
Jump to: Remove Blurry Effect | Completely Remove Drunk Effect
If you’ve ever gotten your character drunk in WoW, you’re familiar with how annoying the drunk effect is.
Your screen will become incredibly blurry and your character will fail to walk, run, fly, and even swim straight.
How to Remove the Blurry Effect
In both Retail WoW and Classic WoW, you can remove the blurry effect by entering the following command:
- /console ffxGlow 0.
This will immediately remove the blurriness effect, allowing you to clearly see your character and screen again.
Unfortunately, this command will not cause your character to run normally again.
If you ever want to turn the blurry effect back on, you can simply enter:
- /console ffxGlow 1.
How to Completely Remove the Drunk Effect
You can always completely remove the drunk effect in Classic WoW or Retail WoW by having your character die.
Some of the simplest ways to quickly kill your character include:
- Using your flying mount to fly very high, dismount, and die from fall damage
- Drowning in a nearby body of water.
However, these are usually not the most convenient ways to completely remove the drunk effect.
Fortunately, there are two beverages in Retail WoW (but not Classic WoW) that sober you up when consumed:
- Blackrock Coffee: Purchased from the auction house or obtained from certain taverns during the Kirin Tor Tavern Crawl Micro Holiday
- Starfire Espresso: Purchased from the auction house or prepared using the Cooking profession.
The Kirin Tor Tavern Crawl Micro Holiday only occurs on January 31st, making Blackrock Coffee very difficult to obtain.
Starfire Espresso can be prepared on any day of the year. In addition, you can purchase the recipe from Jon Casper in Stormwind City for only 3 Epicurean’s Awards.
